Butterfly Gardening Workshop - February 24, 10:00AM to 12:00PM - FULL

Learn about butterfly rearing in your home or in a classroom setting! This workshop will offer information about proper butterfly terminology, the benefits of butterflies in your garden, and the  most desirable butterfly host plants for your garden spaces. Butterfly rearing cages ($25+tax each) and native milkweed plants ($9+tax each) will be available for purchase. This event is limited to 35.

Founder of The Nectar Bar, Drake White is dedicated to the conservation of our native pollinators. She is a Texas Master Naturalist, Native Landscape Certified, and the project manager and designer of the Phil Hardberger Park Butterfly Learning Center, an outdoor classroom for native plants, butterflies, and other pollinators.  Ms. White has spent the last six year raising various butterfly species while creating awareness for their needs. She also educates on proper practices for rearing butterflies in the classroom and in backyard residential gardens.  Ms. White's Facebook group, The Nectar Bar: Raising Butterflies, provides a learning space to ask questions and interact with an online community. Additionally, Ms. White posts instructional videos on her YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC138nTrO2Z6Mqhqkfd5UXKw).
