Unique Gifts from Headwaters
headwaters Walking Sticks, $30
Throughout the year, our Headwaters volunteers donate their time to the ecological restoration of the 53-acre Headwaters Sanctuary. Many days are spent removing invasive plant species to allow our local native plants to flourish and to encourage native wildlife to inhabit the Sanctuary. These cuttings are usually delivered to a wood chipper, cut to mulch, and later spread on our trails. One volunteer, Dave Arnold, decided to fashion himself a walking stick out of a leftover limb. We liked his handiwork so much that we requested additional walking sticks to fund raise for Headwaters. You can now possess your own Headwaters Walking Stick. Each shaft is unique. Lengths range from 55 to 62 inches. Using the invasive Ligustrum for this artisan product, instead of simply discarding it, is a practice of conservation and sustainability. Come to the Headwaters office to select your stick. *Shipping is not available for this item. Quantities are limited.
