Join us for FREE learning and fun for all ages! The culmination of our week long celebration of native wildlife and habitat will be a family-oriented, gathering on the grounds of the historic Brackenridge Villa. Learn about bees, bats, birds, snakes, native plants, invasive plants, rain gardens, and the importance of milkweed. View a live drone tour of the Sanctuary and pick up a free native tree for your yard from CPS. Norma Lara will offer face painting and several raffle prizes will be available. Food trucks will sell a variety of snacks and meals. Nature-themed gifts will be available for purchase. “Flight of the Butterflies” will be shown at 3:30 p.m. at the UIW Mabee Library Auditorium, adjacent to the celebration. Come learn about our educational events, volunteer opportunities, and habitat at Headwaters! Registering for this event provides attendance information only, trees will be distributed on a first come first serve basis.
